Wear-resistant assembly for earthwork equipment
The wear-resistant cap protects a wear-resistant surface of an adapter for earth working equipment. These wear-resistant caps are eroded and worn by contact with abrasives, e.g. Experienced in digging operations. The wear cap may be attached to the upper and lower legs of the adapter and prevent wear of the upper and lower legs. Each wear cap is secured to a retention feature on a separate mounting structure. The individual mounting structures are aligned and staggered such that the wear cap is first mounted to a rear individual mounting structure. The independent mounting structures on the upper legs may be positioned one on top of the other.
