The lateral parking equipment comprises a vehicle storing and taking platform, a vehicle storing frame, a transverse moving frame, a first vehicle carrying frame and a second vehicle carrying frame, and the vehicle storing and taking platform is provided with a plane guide rail, a first vehicle storing space and a first vehicle taking space; the vehicle storage frame is provided with a second vehicle storage space, lifting spaces are arranged on the sides of the first vehicle storage space and the second vehicle storage space, and the vehicle storage frame is provided with a cantilever guide rail; the first vehicle carrying frame is provided with a first transverse movement driving mechanism used for driving the first vehicle carrying frame to move between the first vehicle storage space and the first vehicle taking space in a reciprocating mode. The transverse moving frame is provided with a second transverse moving driving mechanism used for driving the second transverse moving frame to move between the second vehicle storage space and the lifting space in a reciprocating mode and a lifting traction mechanism used for driving the second vehicle carrying frame to ascend and descend in the lifting space. The lateral parking equipment is small in occupied area and can be directly installed on a roadside parking space, the roadside parking space is expanded, and parking and traveling are facilitated.
