The invention discloses a supporting structure for tree protection and a construction method thereof. The supporting structure for tree protection comprises a plurality of supporting steel pipes, a concrete top beam and a plurality of drainage pipes. The multiple supporting steel pipes are vertically driven into the soil layer, and the to-be-protected tree is located among the multiple supporting steel pipes. The concrete top beam is fixedly connected with the tops of the supporting steel pipes. The multiple drainage pipes are obliquely arranged in the soil layer, one end of each drainage pipe is located on the inner side of the supporting steel pipe, and the other end of each drainage pipe is located on the outer side of the supporting steel pipe. A drainage ditch and a water collecting pit are arranged on the periphery of the middle of each supporting steel pipe. Wherein the peripheries above the middle parts of the plurality of supporting steel pipes are subjected to shotcrete anchoring by adopting C20 fine aggregate concrete. Therefore, the supporting structure for tree protection is simple and reasonable in structure, the problem that the trees need to be moved is solved, and the problem that the land occupation is too large due to the fact that the trees are reserved on site is effectively solved.
