The invention discloses a bridge pier and safety crawling ladder connecting device and a construction method, the device comprises a pre-buried crawling cone, a wall-attached connecting seat, a locking bolt and a connecting piece, the wall-attached connecting seat comprises a U-shaped connecting plate and a vibration reduction support, and the locking bolt penetrates through the U-shaped connecting plate and extends into the pre-buried crawling cone; the connecting piece comprises a vertical adjusting component arranged at the bottom of the vibration reduction support, two horizontal adjusting components arranged on the vertical adjusting component and connecting rods arranged on the horizontal adjusting components. The method comprises the following steps: 1, mounting the pre-embedded climbing cone in the pier; 2, mounting a bridge pier template; 3, pouring the bridge pier and removing the template; 4, mounting a bridge pier and a safety crawling ladder connecting piece; and 5, connecting the bridge piers with the safety crawling ladders. The connecting rod is connected with the safety crawling ladder through the vertical adjusting component and the horizontal adjusting component, so that the bridge pier is connected with the safety crawling ladder, a constructor can stand on the safety crawling ladder only, high-altitude operation on the bridge pier is not needed, labor and auxiliary machine cost is reduced, and operation is easy and convenient.
