The invention discloses an assembly type composite damping wall which comprises a viscous damping wall body, an inner steel plate is fixedly connected to the top of the viscous damping wall body, an upper connecting plate is fixedly connected to the top of the inner steel plate, a main body structure is fixedly connected to the top of the upper connecting plate, and an inner fixing plate is fixedly connected to the bottom of the interior of the main body structure. By means of the sliding blocks, the bottom plate and the disc springs, a friction sliding device is additionally arranged on the basis of the viscous damping wall, and the viscous damping wall has the in-plane damping capacity and the out-of-plane damping capacity at the same time; when the in-plane acting force transmitted to the viscous damping wall by the main body structure is small, the viscous damping wall can guarantee the in-plane energy consumption effect by means of the lateral stiffness of the viscous damping wall; when the acting force outside the plane is large, the damping wall and the bottom friction device generate relative displacement, so that the damping wall is protected, meanwhile, the energy dissipation effect outside the plane is achieved through friction, the service life of the damping wall is prolonged, and meanwhile the shock absorption capacity of the wall is improved.
