The invention discloses an electric glove box and an automobile, and the electric glove box comprises a box frame, a box cover, an electric lock mechanism and an unlocking push block; the box frame is fixedly arranged on an automobile instrument panel and is provided with an unlocking through hole; the box cover comprises a box outer plate and a box hopper which are connected, the box hopper is rotationally connected with the box frame and is provided with a closing position embedded in the box frame, at the closing position, the box outer plate abuts against the box frame, and a gap communicated with the unlocking via hole is reserved at the joint of the box outer plate and the automobile instrument panel; the electric lock mechanism is arranged on the side, away from the box outer plate, of the box frame and comprises a locking assembly, and the locking assembly is used for locking the box hopper to the box frame; the unlocking push block is arranged corresponding to the unlocking through hole and fixedly connected with the locking assembly so that the unlocking push block can move to drive the locking assembly and the box outer plate to be mutually unlocked. According to the technical scheme, the structure can be simplified, the assembly steps are reduced, the space occupancy rate is reduced, and meanwhile the convenience and reliability of unlocking the electric glove box by a user under the power failure condition are improved.
