The invention discloses a screw pump type energy dissipation inerter shock absorber and an application method thereof.The screw pump type energy dissipation inerter shock absorber comprises a left barrel and a right barrel which are connected with each other, and a screw pump mechanism, a left inerter system and a right inerter system are arranged in the left barrel and the right barrel; the left inerter system and the right inerter system are respectively connected with the screw pump mechanism, and the left inerter system and the right inerter system are the same in size and structure and are symmetrically arranged relative to the screw pump mechanism; a left cavity and a right cavity are formed between the left inerter system and the right inerter system as well as between the screw pump mechanism and the left barrel and between the screw pump mechanism and the right barrel; and the left chamber is communicated with the right chamber through an oil pipe. The two inerter elements are adopted, more external excitation energy can be absorbed, and when the screw pump mechanism works, the hydraulic oil is compressed to dissipate energy, and the hydraulic oil flows from the high-pressure cavity to the low-pressure cavity through the thin pipe to dissipate energy. The problem that the inerter cannot consume energy is solved.
