The modular variable lane guardrail comprises at least two stand columns, and the two sides of each stand column are each fixedly provided with two hinge bases which are symmetrically arranged up and down; the hinge rods are hinged to the hinge seats, a guardrail rod is connected between the two hinge rods on the same horizontal plane between the two adjacent stand columns, and a guardrail body is connected between the two guardrail rods between the two adjacent stand columns; the moving seat is fixed on the stand column and has moving power; the guide belt is laid on the lane and is used for providing guidance for the moving seat; when the lane changing guardrail changes lanes, the multiple moving seats move at the same speed at the same time.
