The invention relates to the technical field of building structure engineering, and provides a steel-concrete combined wrapping column base and a construction method thereof.The steel-concrete combined wrapping column base comprises a concrete wrapping prefabricated part, a column base top stiffening rib, a steel column used for being fixed to a foundation and main reinforcements pre-buried in the foundation; a through hole allowing the steel column to pass through is formed in the middle of the concrete wrapping prefabricated part, and steel bar hole channels allowing the main bars to pass through are reserved in the periphery of the concrete wrapping prefabricated part; a reinforcement cage is arranged in the concrete wrapping prefabricated part, and hoop plates are arranged at the top and the bottom of the reinforcement cage. The column foot top stiffening rib is used for being arranged at the top of the concrete wrapping prefabricated part and is composed of a stiffening rib bottom plate and a vertical plate, the bottom plate is provided with reserved holes allowing the main ribs to pass through, and the vertical plate is used for fixedly connecting the bottom plate and the steel column. The problem of assembly construction of the outer-wrapping type column base is solved, and meanwhile the bearing performance of the column base joint can be effectively improved.
