一种高水位落差的应用,就是在高山峡谷中即无法建水库、又很难建水坝的地形中,用特制钢管将水输送到下游,在适当的地方建水电站,水管的长度可以是10公里、20公里或30公里,输水管道的水位落差一定要大,是200米落差或1000米落差,水位落差越大,发电的能量就越大;金沙江、鸦鲁藏布江的地形,如用特制钢管送水发电,能量是特别巨大的;像大小兴安岭这样的林区,在山顶建水池,将半山腰的水用风能太阳能将水抽上山顶,将水用特制钢管输送到山脚下,形成高水位落差发电,水位落差越高能量就越大,经济价值越高;林区的山顶有水池,一旦发生山火,用小量人力可以及时用水将山火扑灭。
