The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, and discloses a manufacturing method of a composite light thermal insulation partition board. The core layer is prepared from the following raw material components: 30 to 40 parts of gypsum, 15 to 20 parts of fly ash, 15 to 20 parts of sand, 0.1 to 0.3 part of polyphenyl granules, 1.0 to 1.5 parts of a foaming agent, 0.4 to 0.8 part of a modifier, 0.5 to 1.5 parts of reinforced fibers and 20 to 30 parts of water; and the surface layer plates are arranged on the two sides of a mold, the prepared core layer liquid is poured into the mold to be solidified and formed, and then demolding is conducted. The manufactured wallboard has the advantages of light weight, heat preservation, good heat insulation and sound insulation performance, high strength, no powder falling, no carbonization, no cracking, short mold stripping time, excellent product quality, high waste utilization rate, low carbon, environmental protection and low cost, and cement is replaced by gypsum.
