The invention discloses emulsified asphalt, a preparation method thereof and an asphalt mixture, and the emulsified asphalt comprises the following components dispersed in water: 100 parts by mass of asphalt; 10 to 30 parts by mass of clay; and 0.01 to 1.5 parts by mass of protonic acid. According to the emulsified asphalt provided by the invention, the asphalt is emulsified through the clay/protonic acid emulsification system, and more aggregates can be stably suspended under the condition that the viscosity of the emulsified asphalt is kept unchanged, so that the solid content of an asphalt mixture can be increased, and the wear resistance and durability of a pavement are further improved.
