The invention provides a method for producing lightweight aggregate from tailings and comprehensively recovering valuable metals, and belongs to the technical field of comprehensive recovery and utilization of tailings. The invention provides a method for producing lightweight aggregate from tailings and comprehensively recovering valuable metals, which comprises the following steps: sequentially grinding and screening the tailings to obtain granules; pelletizing the granules, a reducing agent and a binder to obtain pellets; the pellets are roasted, and light aggregate and flue gas are obtained; using the lightweight aggregate as a building material; and the flue gas is cooled, and valuable metal is recycled. According to the invention, through pellet roasting, silicon, calcium, aluminum, magnesium, iron and oxygen elements in tailings are roasted to form ceramsite with a silicon-calcium-magnesium-aluminum component framework, and the ceramsite is sold as lightweight aggregate with high added value. According to the method, valuable metals such as tin, lead and zinc in the tailings are comprehensively recovered while high-value utilization of the tailings is realized, and a new thought is provided for improving the utilization rate of tailings resources and comprehensively recovering the valuable metals.
