The invention relates to a method for using a main arch of a deck type steel truss arch bridge in a mountainous area, which comprises the following specific steps of: 1) selecting an arch axis coefficient to be 1.5-2.0 and a rise span ratio to be 1/4-1/6; (2) adjusting arch axes with different spans when the distance between the arch crown and the bridge floor is 4m so as to ensure that an arch support is not suspended due to holding force; (3) the transverse width of the arch is 1/20 of the span; 4) adopting a P-type truss on the vertical surface of a main truss, adopting continuous K-shaped support arrangement on upper and lower chord parallel connections of arch ribs, longitudinally arranging the P-type truss, taking a rise span ratio of 1/4-1/6 as 1/5, taking a rib center line as a catenary, taking an arch axis coefficient of 1.5-2.0, taking an arch axis coefficient of 2.0, taking a high span ratio of an arch crown of the deck type steel truss arch bridge as 1/30-1/45, taking 1/43 of the arch crown, taking 1/36 of arch feet, and taking 1/4 of the arch crown as a main truss; and a bolted connection mode is adopted between the coupling and the main truss as well as between the coupling rod pieces at the joints. According to the using method of the deck type steel truss arch bridge main arch in the mountainous area, full-assembly type beams and stand columns can be matched, transportation and installation in the mountainous area are facilitated, the whole can be broken up into parts, and rapid construction in the mountainous area is achieved.
