The invention discloses a manual type windproof roller shutter system with a safety lock. The manual type windproof roller shutter system comprises two lateral stand columns, curtain cloth, an upper cross beam and a lower edge beam. A locking hole is formed in the lower end of each lateral stand column. The lower edge beam is provided with a control button and two locking rods which are controlled by the control button and extend towards the end part of the lower edge beam; the control button is operated, when the control button is located at the first position, the locking rod retracts into the end of the lower edge beam, and at the moment, the lower edge beam can move up and down; the safety lock enables the control button to be kept at the first position, so that the locking rod is prevented from being accidentally inserted into the locking hole; when the control button is located at the second position, the locking rod extends out of the end of the lower edge beam and is inserted into the locking hole, and at the moment, the safety lock enables the control button to be kept at the second position, so that the locking rod is prevented from being separated from the locking hole, and the stability of the locking state is guaranteed; under the condition that a roller shutter system does not depend on external electric power, switching between the locking state and the unlocking state of the roller shutter can be effectively made to be more flexible and free.
