Provided herein are systems, apparatuses and methods for producing refractory products, and more particularly, to systems, apparatuses and methods for producing heated refractory materials, passive refractory materials, transition plates, moldable refractory materials, and accessories such as heated nozzles, heated pins, sleeves, and baffles. A heated refractory channel as disclosed herein may include a working surface for containing molten metal within the channel; a core, the core being adjacent to the working surface; one or more heating elements, the one or more heating elements being disposed within the wick; and an insulating material, wherein the core is disposed between the working surface and the insulating material. The one or more heating elements may be molded into the core. The heating element may be a resistive heating element.
