The invention provides a high-lithium thermal shock resistant functional ceramic product and a preparation method thereof, the ceramic product comprises a blank and a glaze, the blank comprises the following raw materials by weight: 50-58% of eucryptite, 30-35% of kaolin, 8-10% of quartz, 2-3% of bentonite, 1-2% of boric acid, and 0.5-1% of magnesium oxide. The preparation method of the ceramic product comprises the steps of green body preparation, biscuit firing, glazing, firing and the like. The ceramic product which takes eucryptite with higher lithium content as an important raw material through a proper blank material ratio is formed, so that the lithium content is up to 5-6%, the thermal expansion coefficient is very low, the heat resistance is high, the ceramic product can be put into normal-temperature cold water (20 DEG C) at the temperature of 1000-1100 DEG C without bursting, and the heat stability is good.
