The formaldehyde removal mortar capable of releasing the negative ions is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 250 to 520 parts of desulfurized semi-hydrated gypsum, 180 to 260 parts of calcined diatomite, 50 to 120 parts of zeolite sand, 220 to 400 parts of dolomite sand, 2 to 8 parts of nano TiO2, 0.1 to 1 part of negative ion powder and 1 to 20 parts of an additive. According to the mortar provided by the invention, through screening combination and proportion optimization of all the components, while solid waste is utilized and the alkalinity of a product is reduced, the mortar has excellent comprehensive properties such as good formaldehyde removal effect, high long-term formaldehyde absorption rate and good long-term negative ion release effect.
