The invention relates to a double-layer sliding door which comprises a door frame, a door body assembly slidably connected with the door frame and a transmission mechanism connected to the door body assembly, and the door body assembly comprises a first door body and a second door body; when the first door body is opened and closed, the transmission mechanism drives the second door body to be opened and closed in the same direction. The invention further relates to a machine tool adopting the double-layer sliding door. The double-layer sliding door is ingenious in structural design, the same-direction linkage opening and closing movement of the double-layer door body is achieved through the transmission mechanism, and the opening and closing efficiency of the door body is improved; according to the double-layer sliding door disclosed by the invention, the lower part adopts a single-track roller sliding structure, so that sliding parts at the bottom are reduced, the cost is effectively reduced, the problems that multiple tracks are easy to store dust, difficult to clean and easy to damage are thoroughly eradicated, and the service life of the sliding door is prolonged.
