The invention discloses a method for supporting a foundation pit in a limited space, which comprises the following steps of: digging a plurality of groups of pre-buried ditches around the foundation pit, and forming stable anchoring points in the pre-buried ditches; the whole main supporting plate, the whole auxiliary supporting plate and the whole supporting seat body are hoisted into a foundation pit through equipment, the supporting seat body is reliably fixed to the bottom of the foundation pit through fixing anchor rods, and the main supporting plate horizontally moves and is close to the side wall of the foundation pit to implement preliminary supporting on part of the side wall of the foundation pit; the auxiliary supporting plate is separated from the main supporting plate, the auxiliary supporting plate is close to the side wall of the foundation pit, and the main supporting plate and the auxiliary supporting plate are close to and abut against the side wall of the foundation pit to apply acting force so as to support the side wall of the foundation pit. According to the method, the foundation pit supporting operation in the limited space can be facilitated, the requirement of the side wall of the foundation pit for the supporting strength in the whole supporting process is met, the foundation pit supporting construction difficulty is effectively reduced, and the method has the advantages of being good in protection effect, high in construction efficiency, low in cost and the like.
