The invention provides a temporary plugging structure for tunnel staged construction and a construction method thereof.The temporary plugging structure comprises an early construction tunnel section, a waterproof assembly and a plugging assembly, the plugging assembly comprises a main plugging wall and an enclosure plugging wall, and the main plugging wall is matched with an opening of the early construction tunnel section; the upper portion of the main body blocking wall is connected with a top plate of an early construction tunnel section, the lower portion of the main body blocking wall is connected with a bottom plate of the early construction tunnel section, and the enclosure blocking wall blocks the side face, away from the early construction tunnel section, of the main body blocking wall. The water stop piece is plugged on the side, away from the early construction tunnel section, of the enclosure plugging wall, a reserved connector unit for installation of the anti-seepage piece is arranged between the main plugging wall and the early construction tunnel section, and the anti-seepage piece is arranged in the reserved connector unit. In this way, water of the later construction tunnel section can be prevented from flowing into the early construction tunnel section through the water stop piece, and the waterproof effect of the joint is effectively improved through the arrangement of the seepage-proofing piece.
