The invention discloses a multifunctional fence with a telescopic vertical ladder, which comprises a fence body, the fence body is provided with at least one notch, and the fence body is provided with a fence lower cross bar connected with the fence body at the bottom of the notch; the vertical ladder is rotationally arranged in the notch by taking the fence lower cross rod as an axis; the locking unit is used for locking the vertical ladder and the fence body. The fence and the telescopic vertical ladder are combined, the fence is used as a common fence to play a role in isolation and protection under the normal condition, and when a person needs to pass through the fence or descend into a shallow pit and a hole to work, the vertical ladder can be rotated to be flatly placed to the ground to provide a channel or descend to the position below the ground to serve as a descending crawling ladder.
