The system comprises a power supply module, a rainstorm detection module and a signal indicating module, the rainstorm detection module comprises an audio acquisition unit, a signal processing unit, a data analysis unit and a control unit which are connected in sequence; the audio acquisition unit acquires a first audio signal in a road indicator light environment; the signal processing unit filters the first audio signal and retains a second audio signal related to rainstorm detection; the data analysis unit analyzes the second audio signal and judges the current rainfall; the control unit is used for sending a strengthening indication instruction to the signal indication module when the current rainfall exceeds the preset intensity, and the signal indication module is used for starting a strengthening indication mode. The rainfall condition of the environment where the road indicator light is located is monitored in real time, when the rainfall exceeds the preset intensity, strengthened indication is conducted through the signal indication module, road vehicles are reminded to pay attention to safe driving, and the accident rate is reduced.
