The invention relates to the technical field of colored asphalt, and discloses a pavement construction method of a granular colored asphalt mixture, which comprises the following construction steps: 1) cleaning a paver and a road roller by using a detergent; 2) paving the granular colored asphalt mixture on the road surface by using a paver to form a paving layer with the paving height higher than the set height; (3) secondary leveling and paving are conducted on the paving layer; (4) a road roller is used for rolling on the paving layer, and the colored asphalt pavement is formed; (5) the step (4) is repeated until the colored asphalt pavement is compacted to the set height; by cleaning construction equipment in advance, pollution of the equipment to a road surface during construction is avoided, cracks caused by faults can be avoided through continuous and uninterrupted paving of the paver, rolling compaction is guaranteed through manual leveling, the construction efficiency can be improved, the condition of pits after rolling compaction can be avoided, and the construction quality is improved. The problems that the construction efficiency is low and various forms of cracks are prone to occurring are solved.
