The invention relates to a garden ditch digging device which comprises a digging trolley, the digging trolley comprises a frame, a plurality of walking wheels arranged at the bottom of the frame and a driving source arranged on the frame, the walking wheels are distributed in the walking direction of the digging trolley, and the driving source is used for driving the walking wheels to walk; the excavating mechanism comprises an excavating arm hinged to the head position of the excavating trolley, a driving shaft rotationally connected to the excavating arm and a ditching cutter coaxially connected to one end of the driving shaft, an adjusting assembly is arranged between the excavating arm and the frame, and the adjusting assembly is used for adjusting the rotating angle of the excavating arm; the driving shaft is horizontally arranged and perpendicular to the advancing direction of the excavating trolley, an output shaft of the driving source is coaxial with the rotating axis of the excavating arm, and the driving source is used for driving the driving shaft to rotate. The ditching device has the effect that ditching operation can be conveniently carried out under the condition that an obstacle exists on one side of a ditch.
