The invention relates to a riverway algae blocking device which comprises a blocking pipe, a conveying pipe, a baffle and a conveying paddle, the blocking pipe is transversely arranged on the water surface of a riverway and rotates, the longitudinal section of the blocking pipe is round, the lower portion of the blocking pipe is located below the water surface, and the upper portion of the blocking pipe is located on the water surface; a plurality of algae inlets are distributed in the circumferential side wall of the blocking pipe in a spiral array mode, the conveying pipe is fixedly arranged on a river ladder of a river channel, one end of the conveying pipe is rotationally communicated with the blocking pipe, the other end of the conveying pipe extends out of the river channel, and the baffle is located on the side, away from the flowing direction of the river channel, of the blocking pipe and slidably attached to the circumferential outer wall of the blocking pipe. And the conveying paddle is a spiral plate body and is rotationally arranged in the blocking pipe and the conveying pipe. The invention aims to solve or at least alleviate the problems of high operation difficulty and low cleaning efficiency due to the adoption of an active salvage mode for cleaning algae in a river channel at present, and provides a river channel algae blocking device.
