The invention discloses a suspended ceiling based on an edge-covered composite board and a production method of the edge-covered composite board, the suspended ceiling comprises a supporting framework and a decorative board which are connected with each other, the decorative board is the edge-covered composite board and comprises a top board, a bottom box and a middle filling layer, and the bottom box is formed by connecting a bottom board and a plurality of side boards in an integrated mode; the lower portion of the middle filling layer is arranged in the bottom box and connected with the upper surface of the bottom plate in an adhering mode, the top plate is arranged on the middle filling layer and connected with the middle filling layer in an adhering mode, and the decorative plate groove is formed in the middle of the peripheral vertical side face of the middle filling layer and close to the upper edges of the side plates of the bottom box. The production method of the edge-covered composite board comprises the following steps of manufacturing the bottom box body, manufacturing the middle filling layer body, assembling, slotting and the like. The part, located below the bottom transverse framework, of the middle filling layer is completely wrapped by the wrapping edges formed by the side plates, so that the middle filling layer is protected, and attractiveness is facilitated; the production method has the advantage of being convenient to process and assemble.
