The invention relates to an overhanging type steel pipe scaffold. The overhanging type steel pipe scaffold comprises a plurality of section steel beams, a scaffold body and a sliding assembly. The section steel beams are arranged side by side, and each section steel beam comprises a fixing part used for being fixedly connected with a building main building and an overhanging part overhung out of the building main building; the sliding assembly is connected to the section steel beam in a clamped mode, and the sliding assembly is connected with the section steel beam in a sliding mode. The scaffold body is detachably installed on the sliding assembly. The sliding assembly comprises a fixing piece, and the fixing piece is used for abutting against and fixing the section steel beam. By means of the sliding assembly, a main place where a worker builds a scaffold is transferred to a main building of the building from the overhanging high altitude; and the installation efficiency and the installation safety of workers are improved.
