The invention discloses a cable clamp nut anti-loosening device and method suitable for a suspension bridge cable clamp. The cable clamp nut anti-loosening device is provided with a first half cable clamp and a second half cable clamp which are in butt joint. A plurality of nut self-locking assemblies are arranged on the butt joint edge of the first half cable clamp and the second half cable clamp in rows, each nut self-locking assembly is provided with a shell, a self-locking assembly and a direction adjusting assembly are arranged in each shell, and the self-locking assemblies lock the adjusting direction of the direction adjusting assemblies. The axial ends of the butt joint edges of the first half cable clamp and the second half cable clamp are connected and pressed through a connecting assembly. The cable clamp nut locking device can adapt to various directions of the cable clamp nut through the nut self-locking assembly, meanwhile, the direction adjusting assembly can be replaced at will so that the cable clamp nut locking device can adapt to various specifications and sizes of the cable clamp nut, and the cable clamp nut locking device is easy and convenient to disassemble through the connecting assembly; and subsequent related screw pre-tightening force detection or tension compensation work is facilitated.
