The invention provides a formwork supporting method for an open-web sandwich plate, which comprises the following steps of: deepening a formwork support plane to determine the positions of a steel pipe fastener transition area and a lantern frame; positioning and paying off to obtain the position of a vertical rod; erecting a formwork support; concrete is poured, and when the concrete strength of the beam slab reaches the first preset strength, the lantern frame outer formwork and the support are dismantled; and when the beam slab concrete strength reaches the second preset strength, the lantern frame is dismantled. According to the formwork supporting method for the open-web sandwich plate, the steel pipe fastener transition area is arranged, and the early-dismantling system is contained in the formwork supporting system, so that the problem that the modulus of a plate fastener frame is not matched with that of a grid structure of the open-web sandwich plate is effectively solved, and the reliability and construction efficiency of the formwork supporting system are greatly improved; when the concrete strength of the beam slab reaches 75%, most formwork supports can be removed, material turnover is accelerated, the construction cost is reduced, and the method has the advantages of being high in efficiency and safety and low in construction cost.
