The invention relates to an ecological slope protection device with an early warning function and a slope protection method. The ecological slope protection device comprises a base assembly, a four-side water tank, a diagonal water tank and an inner core assembly. The base assembly plays a role in fixing and supporting the whole slope protection device; the four-side water tank and the diagonal water tank are fixedly mounted on the base assembly and play roles in guiding and filtering water; the inner core assembly is fixedly installed in the base assembly and used for conducting early warning when a dangerous situation occurs on the slope. Meanwhile, the invention discloses a slope protection method according to the ecological slope protection device. Compared with the prior art, the slope protection device can rapidly guide and filter water, early warning is conducted when the slope sinks, then the side slope with potential risks is reinforced, the stability of the side slope is kept, and water and soil loss is prevented.
