The invention relates to a multi-directional broadband tuned mass damper and a design method thereof, a first damping structure and a second damping structure are arranged on a rigid vibration reduction frame, the first damping structure has a control main frequency, and the second damping structure has two control main frequencies, so that the control main frequency of the first damping structure and the control main frequency of the second damping structure are reduced; the control main frequency of the second damping structure is greater than that of the first damping structure; under the synergistic effect, the second damping structures mainly and effectively broaden the high-frequency control range, the multiple first damping structures control one low-frequency control main frequency in a one-to-one mode, and therefore the full frequency is controlled, the first damping structures and the second damping structures on the rigid vibration reduction frame are the same in extension direction, and the damping effect is good. The isotropic quality and rigidity distribution characteristics are ensured; moreover, when different control frequency ranges are used, the number and the distribution form of the first damping structures and the second damping structures, and the corresponding mass ratio and the damping ratio can be designed in advance, so that different control requirements are met.
