The invention relates to a pump station forebay vortex elimination method based on an image recognition technology, which comprises a water pump, a pump station forebay and a pump station control system, a monitoring device is installed at a diffusion section of the pump station forebay, the length of the pump station forebay is set to be L, and the monitoring device locates and monitors a 1.5 L area of the pump station forebay; the monitoring device is connected with the image processing system and the pump station control system; a diffusion section of a forebay of the pump station is divided into a plurality of grids, and a water spraying turbulence device is arranged in the center of each grid and is controlled by a pump station control system; when it is found through the image processing system that a vortex with the diameter larger than 1 m exists in the monitoring area of the forebay of the pump station, the pump station control system adjusts the rotating speed of an impeller of the pump station and changes the flow of a water pump, and therefore the original flow state of the forebay is disturbed, and the vortex elimination purpose is achieved; when the working condition changes and the speed of the water pump cannot be adjusted, the monitoring device positions the vortex, and the pump station control system controls the turbulent flow device of the corresponding grid to spray water flow to disturb the original flow state of the vortex and eliminate the vortex.
