A grass grid sand barrier laying robot comprises a grass storage box arranged on the upper portion of a frame body and used for storing straw; the straw feeding mechanism is arranged on the frame body in front of the straw storage box and is used for laying straw; the straw inserting mechanism is arranged in the middle of the frame body so that laid straw can be inserted into sandy soil; the sowing mechanism is arranged at the rear part of the frame body and is linked with the grass inserting mechanism so as to realize sowing of seeds; and the side wheel mechanism is arranged on the frame body so as to realize the movement of the robot. The device adopts a modular design, is compact in structure and high in operation reliability, and is particularly suitable for small mechanical desertification control in remote desert areas.
