The invention relates to a scaffold connecting device for a building. The problems that parts of a connecting piece are lost and a transverse pipe shakes are effectively solved. According to the technical scheme for solving the problems, the device comprises a rectangular block, a through hole is formed in the center of the upper end face of the rectangular block, the rectangular block is divided along the side edge of one opposite angle to form two triangular blocks, the four side faces of the rectangular block are each fixedly provided with a straight rod, and each straight rod is provided with an extrusion block; each straight rod is sleeved with a hollow sleeve, a through groove is formed in the outer edge of each hollow sleeve, a swing rod swinging inwards and outwards is arranged in each through groove, each straight rod is sleeved with a circular ring, a clamping block is fixed to the inner side face of each swing rod, each transverse pipe is inserted into the corresponding hollow sleeve, and an annular groove is formed in the outer edge of each transverse pipe. Supporting force is exerted on the inner edge face of the transverse pipe through the outer edge face of the extrusion block, and it is guaranteed that the transverse pipe cannot shake in the radial direction; and meanwhile, the circular ring is in close contact with the end face of the side, close to the rectangular block, of the through groove, and the transverse pipe cannot move and shake in the axial direction.
