The invention discloses a riverway aquatic plant cleaning device which comprises a ship body and a material storage frame arranged at the upper end of the ship body and used for storing cleaned aquatic plants, and further comprises a material conveying unit arranged at the feeding end of the material storage frame and used for conveying the cleaned aquatic plants into the material storage frame; the cleaning unit comprises a cutting-off assembly used for cutting off the aquatic plants and a lifting assembly used for conducting lifting work on the cutting-off assembly, and the cutting-off assembly comprises a bucket used for guiding the cut-off aquatic plants to the material conveying unit. The side shearing assembly shears off aquatic plants on the two sides of the bucket, the lower shearing assembly shears off the aquatic plants on the lower portion of an opening of the bucket, the sheared aquatic plants enter the bucket and are conveyed into the material storage frame through the material conveying unit, and therefore manual fishing is not needed in the whole aquatic plant cleaning process; and the situation that fishing is difficult due to the fact that the aquatic plants are omitted to be cut off and the aquatic plants which are not cut off are intertwined with one another during follow-up fishing is effectively avoided.
