The invention relates to sand pumping equipment and a sand pumping method for realizing sand pumping at the bottom of a deep hole. The sand pumping equipment comprises a drill rod at the lower end of a rotary drilling machine, a central rotating shaft is arranged in the drill rod, the lower end of the central rotating shaft is connected with a gearbox, and the lower end of the drill rod is connected with a sand pumping device which rotates along with the central rotating shaft; the lower end of the central rotating shaft is further connected with a driving device for driving the sand pumping device to pump sand, an oil conveying pipe for providing power for the driving device is further arranged in the drill rod, the upper end of the sand pumping device is connected with a sand outlet pipe, and the driving device drives the sand pumping device to rotate to pump the sand into the sand outlet pipe to be discharged. The center rotating shaft rotates to drive the sand shoveling device to rotate, the sand shoveling arm at the bottom of the center rotating shaft quickly scatters sand deposited at the water bottom, then the sand enters the sand shoveling device through the sand shoveling opening, the hydraulic pump drives the sand pumping impeller to rotate at a high speed to collect sand into the sand outlet pipe to be discharged, and the sand shoveling opening is provided with the sand breaking net so that sand blocks can be broken conveniently. And a stop plate is arranged at the sand shoveling opening, so that the sand inlet efficiency is improved, continuous sand pumping operation is facilitated, and the sand pumping steps are reduced.
