The water-quenched titanium slag microbead lightweight thermal insulation material comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight: 360-600 parts of cement, 0-120 parts of fluidized bed combustion ash, 0-120 parts of lithium slag, 0-500 parts of titanium slag microbeads, 20-80 parts of a foaming agent, 25-100 parts of a coagulant and 1-10 parts of polypropylene fibers. The preparation method comprises the following steps: at room temperature, stirring the powder and the water, fully stirring and mixing, adding the titanium slag microspheres, uniformly stirring, adding the foaming agent, stirring, and molding after stirring. The thermal insulation performance of the prepared lightweight thermal insulation material is remarkably improved, the industrial waste slag is adopted to participate in preparation, the preparation cost is low, the stacking pressure of the industrial waste slag can be relieved, and effective secondary utilization of the industrial waste slag is achieved.
