The invention discloses a device for laying a heat tracing cable in a roof drainage ditch. The device comprises a frame body, a driving device, a moving assembly, a buckle arrangement assembly, a spool and an auxiliary wheel, wherein the frame body is of a rectangular structure, the number of the driving devices and the number of the auxiliary wheels are both four, the four driving devices are arranged on the inner sides of the four corners of the frame body respectively, and the four auxiliary wheels are rotationally installed on the four corners of the frame body respectively; a moving assembly is arranged on the outer side of each driving device, the moving assemblies are installed on the frame body and connected with the driving devices, and the two moving assemblies opposite in position are connected; the buckle arrangement assembly is installed in the center of the frame body, the number of the bobbins is two, the two bobbins are arranged on the front side and the rear side of the buckle arrangement assembly respectively, and the bobbins are installed on the frame body. The device can automatically lay the heat tracing cable in the roof drainage ditch, and the construction efficiency is improved.
