Fiber reinforced load support pad
A mat and a method of making the same are described. The mat includes a body defined by a plurality of side walls and two outer surface walls opposite each other, a lip structure extending outwardly from the plurality of side walls around a portion of an outer periphery of the body, and at least one fiber reinforcement layer disposed between the two outer surface walls of the mat. The method includes depositing a first deposited layer of material within a mold, positioning at least one fiber reinforcement layer on the first deposited layer, depositing a second deposited layer of material within the mold over the at least one fiber reinforcement layer and the first deposited layer, and treating the first deposited layer, the at least one fiber reinforcement layer, and the second deposited layer to form a mat.

A mat and a method of making the same are described.
