The device comprises a hollow sliding rail, inverted-L-shaped abutting piles are symmetrically and slidably connected to the interior of the hollow sliding rail, a plurality of steel plates are evenly arranged on the two sides of each inverted-L-shaped abutting pile, and a stretching assembly is installed in the hollow sliding rail. According to the construction method, firstly, the two inverted-L-shaped abutting piles are driven by the rotating stretching assembly to drive the steel plate to move away from each other in the length direction of the hollow sliding rail, and the inverted-L-shaped abutting piles are matched with the steel plate to form abutting supporting on the inner wall of the foundation pit; the bottom end of a driving lock rod is conveniently inserted into a lock hole, so that fixed clamping connection of a hollow sliding rail and an inverted-L-shaped abutting pile is completed, abutting supporting on the inner side of a foundation pit is achieved through cooperative use of the inverted-L-shaped abutting pile and a steel plate, and occupation of a triangular supporting area formed by a short pile and an inclined strut on the inner space of the foundation pit is effectively reduced; and the internal operation efficiency of the foundation pit is improved.
