The invention relates to an unbalanced actuator for a soil compaction device, comprising at least two rotatable unbalanced masses (4) which are mounted in a counter-rotating manner relative to one another, and comprising at least two rotors (1), one of the unbalanced masses (4) being coupled to one of the rotors (1), the at least two unbalanced masses (4) and the associated rotor (1) are mounted coaxially to one another, and wherein each rotor (1) is associated with a stator (3) in such a way that the rotor (1) and the associated stator (3) form an electric motor.
