The invention discloses a traffic management system and a traffic management method, and the system comprises a first lane mark which is disposed between lanes, serves as a lane boundary when the first lane mark is in a first light-emitting mode, and serves as a lane center line when the first lane mark is in a second light-emitting mode; the traffic indication assembly comprises direction identifiers and a second lane identifier, the multiple direction identifiers are configured to indicate the driving direction of the corresponding lane, the second lane identifier is arranged between the two direction identifiers, and the second lane identifier has the same light emitting mode as the first lane identifier; the control assembly is connected with the first lane mark and the traffic indication assembly, and the control assembly is used for controlling the direction mark to carry out direction indication according to the driving direction of the reversible lane and controlling the first lane mark and the second lane mark to synchronously emit light so as to carry out lane marking. By means of the mode, the reversible lane switching efficiency is improved, and reversible lane recognition can be facilitated.
