The embodiment of the invention discloses an ecological bank protection module which comprises a large container and a plurality of small containers arranged in the large container, the small containers are filled with matrixes, plants are planted on the matrixes, mixed filler is arranged between the small containers and the large container, and geotechnical cloth is arranged between the mixed filler and the large container. According to the ecological bank protection module, the mixed filler with the water purification function is separated from the matrix used for planting the plants through the small container, on one hand, the mixed filler is prevented from affecting growth of the plants, on the other hand, the ecological bank protection module has the deep water purification function, and the two materials cannot be mixed; and repeated utilization of the mixed filler and the matrix is facilitated.
