The invention relates to a large building sloping roof formwork supporting system and a construction method, the system comprises a base, a plurality of angle adjusting connecting supports and a supporting rod assembly, and each angle adjusting connecting support comprises a rotatable angle adjusting sleeve; the supporting rod assembly comprises a supporting vertical rod, a supporting inclined rod and a vertical vertical rod, one end of the supporting vertical rod is fixedly connected with the base, and the other end is fixedly connected with the angle adjusting sleeve. One end of the supporting inclined rod is inserted into the angle adjusting sleeve, and the other end is used for abutting against a roof structure layer. One end of the vertical upright rod is fixedly connected with the base, the other end of the vertical upright rod is fixedly connected with the supporting inclined rod, the supporting inclined rod at the other end serves as a main stress rod piece, the supporting upright rod and the vertical upright rod are assisted for stabilization, then the supporting upright rod and the vertical upright rod are connected into a whole through the horizontal cross rod, and finally load component force is transmitted to the base through the angle adjusting connecting support. The inclined supporting system is perpendicular to the load surface, the direction of force can be effectively transmitted, the problem of horizontal component force transmitted by roof load is effectively solved, and therefore the overall stability of the supporting system is improved.
