The invention relates to the technical field of urban underground engineering, in particular to a center ribbed prestressed pipe pile for foundation pit supporting and a construction method thereof. The center ribbed prestressed pipe pile comprises a cross-shaped stiffening rib circular steel pipe, and a prestressed concrete hollow-core pipe pile is arranged outside the cross-shaped stiffening rib circular steel pipe; and cement mortar is poured between the cross-shaped stiffening rib circular steel pipe and the prestressed concrete hollow-core pipe pile. The hollow-core space in the prestressed concrete hollow-core pipe pile is fully utilized, the anti-bending bearing capacity and the anti-bending rigidity of the pile body of the support pile are improved under the condition of the same outer diameter of the pipe pile, and the situation that a larger-diameter pipe pile is adopted, so that a more serious soil squeezing effect is caused is avoided; the circular steel pipe with the reinforcing ribs shaped like the Chinese character'ji 'can be recycled and reused, and therefore the construction cost can be remarkably reduced.
