The multi-stage friction damper comprises a first connecting plate, a first friction plate, an inner friction plate, a second friction plate and a second connecting plate which are sequentially arranged. The first friction plates are arranged on the two sides of the first connecting plate, and first friction materials are arranged between the first friction plates and the first connecting plate. The first end of the inner friction plate is connected with the first friction plate, the second friction plates are arranged on the two sides of the second end of the inner friction plate, second friction materials are arranged between the second friction plates and the inner friction plate, and the second connecting plate is connected with the second friction plates. According to the multi-stage friction damper, different damper forces are matched under input of different earthquake grades, the building safety is further improved, and multi-stage response control of the structure is achieved.
