The invention relates to alkali-activated thermal insulation mortar utilizing regenerated micro powder on a large scale and a preparation method of the alkali-activated thermal insulation mortar. A large number of tiny bubbles are introduced into the mortar, and polystyrene foam particles are used as fine aggregate. Compared with traditional thermal insulation mortar, the mortar has the advantages that the low-carbon alkali-activated cementing material is used for replacing cement to serve as a binder, the recycled concrete powder is used for further replacing a traditional alkali-activated precursor, and the purpose of reducing carbon emission in the production process is achieved. In addition, the novel thermal insulation mortar provided by the invention also realizes large-scale utilization of the regenerated micro powder and extremely low heat conductivity coefficient at the same time.
