The invention relates to a vertical shaft spillway tunnel system. A sudden expansion structure is arranged at the joint of the tail section of a horn mouth on the lower portion of an annular overflow weir and a vertical shaft body section, and a breather pipe is arranged at the sudden expansion position; a pressing plate is arranged at the top of the joint of the vertical shaft and the lower adit in the longitudinal axis direction of the lower adit. Drainage water flow enters the horn-mouth-shaped contraction section through the annular overflow weir and enters the shaft body section of the vertical shaft through the sudden expansion structure to form wall separation flow with stable cavities in the periphery, contact of the shaft wall of the vertical shaft is avoided, and the vertical shaft sudden expansion type and the pressing plate type are simple, small in construction amount, free of too much maintenance and economical and applicable.
