The invention provides a prestress adjusting device of a steel support for foundation pit supporting, belongs to the field of foundation pit supporting, and is used for adjusting the supporting axial force of the steel support. In the prior art, each steel support is provided with a support axial force adjusting device, and the whole support system is high in cost and low in economic benefit. According to the device, the two ends of each steel support are connected to the side of a foundation pit through the corresponding steel enclosing purlin, each steel support is internally provided with an adjusting section capable of being controlled by an adjusting part to stretch or retract, each prestress adjusting device comprises the corresponding adjusting part, each adjusting part comprises a sliding seat, a telescopic piece and a clamping seat, and the sliding seats are slidably connected to the corresponding steel enclosing purlin so that the positions of the adjusting parts can be switched among the different steel supports. The clamping seat comprises a seat body and a clamping arm, the clamping arm can be in an arc shape or a linear shape, when the clamping arm is in an arc shape, the steel support is clamped, and at the moment, the telescopic piece stretches out and draws back to adjust the axial force of the steel support; and when the two steel supports are straight, the adjusting device can slide to the other steel support.
